Thanks to the Lord

The faith of our brothers and sisters in

the villages continues to amaze me.

They are persevering amidst economic

hardships, while we come and go.

This season in Mexico was a real

refining for me, and I was able to

.let go. of a lot of ideals for ministry

in missions. The Church in Los

Toltecas is not really a .church., but

still it is a very valid mission work.

The last three meetings we held were

very rewarding for us. To see a few of

the people still very hungry for the

Word, and able to freely worship made

it worth the effort to minister there just

for another short season. A few, who

would be real potential leaders and

servants, were not able to commit to

meeting when we are not there. That

has left me wondering .How much

longer Lord? How much longer do

you want us to keep sharing with these

people?. Marianne was very whole

heartedly playing guitar along with me

to lead the worship. She and Kari

helped with the children.s classes.

In one of the meetings, an older man

confessed Christ as his Saviour. He

had gone forward to pray with Pastor

Armando, and commit his life to

Christ within a .compaña. that we had

held in the village years ago. I had also

visited him, and shared much of the

Gospel two years ago, while he was

having heart surgery in the hospital.

We were also blessed to hear Kari’s

testimony shared with the local adults.

Susannah was able to interpret for her.

For more than five months, Kari

disciplined herself as an apprentice

with us. She really grew in Spanish, Bible

study, and ministry to various women in

our village. The fruits of the spirit that she

brought forth really blessed many people,

especially Marianne and our children in

the home.

Pursuing the property near the

High School has brought back the

inspiration to use the tool of teaching

English once again. There has always

been a great interest, and I have just let

the .formal. Bible studies and church

meetings take priority over using my

time for teaching English classes.

I feel released from other commitments

and I hope to pursue this means

of evangelism next year. I see a long

summer of work ahead, and for

now we are pursuing whatever

opportunities are available here in

Arizona. We are open to work and

visits in Oregon and hope we can

make it up in August - September.

Prayer Requests:

+ For Alfonzo and his family. He has

been working away from home for a

year now, and he hopes to return to

our area and get some kind of

business going. He has made progress

on his new kitchen-diningroom, but

they have a long way to go and could

use help.

+ For the believers in Los Toltecas, to

have a pastor that will go to them, or

for them to be able to integrate into

one of the other local churches along

the highway.

+ For our pursuit of a lot and building

near the High School and Junior

High.

+ For the Christian school in Los

Mochis. The ministry is doing well

there, and God has provided all their

needs. Petra continues on staff there,

and they want to move into larger

facilities.

Because HE is faithful, Greg
